These 3 words are called prepositions of time. We use:

  • at for the TIME of day
  • in for MONTHS, YEARS, CENTURIES and LONG PERIODS
  • on for DAYS and DATES


Lesson 1

  1. When do you go to class?

  2. I go to class on Monday.

  3. Why do you go to college?

  4. Because I study English.

  5. When does your class start?

  6. It starts at 9.30.

  7. When does your class finish?

  8. It finishes at 12 o’clock.

  9. Who is your teacher in January?

  10. My teacher is Jennifer.

    Lesson 2

  11. What is that?

  12. It is a pen.

  13. Where is your pen?

  14. It is in my hand.

  15. What colour is your pen?

  16. It is green.

  17. Where is your book?

  18. It is on the table.

  19. Which book is yours?

  20. The book next to the pens.
