John:
So, Renata you've chosen to talk about travel. Have you done a lot of travelling in the past?
Renata:
Well, I've travelled a bit. I can say that travel is my hobby. Basically, me and my partner try to travel every year to some kind of exotic countries. Probably the best holiday I've ever had was last year, in India, where we spent three weeks travelling around north, northern part.
John:
Where about did you go?
Renata:
Obviously first we went to Deli where we stayed sort of 2, 3 days. Then, we moved down to the south a little bit. Went to see Taj Mahal, which is a very touristy place. Erm, then we went across to the Thar Desert, stayed over in the desert, slept overnight, it was very interesting. Ahm and then basically we were travelling from a place to a place. We had a hired car with a driver. We were just travelling across from the north to the south and then east to the west basically, covering 600 miles every day. And just sightseeing.
John:
Wonderful. What are your strongest memories of that trip?
Renata:
I think it was mainly the smells and the colours of India obviously and absolutely amazing culture, the diversity of people. The environment is quite diverse as well; you've got obviously rich people living in amazing areas and then poorer areas but yet very, very interesting, so probably that. And food obviously , curries and things like that that I absolutely love
John:
And what about the people?
Renata:
I found people extremely polite and nice. Although, when you arrive to India for the first time you sort of suffer from a culture shock really because people are obviously totally different but yet as I said very polite. The only things that I probably didn't like initially was the hassle that you get but after a while you just get used to it and just enjoy it and kind of mingle with people.
