Kathryn: Hello, can I help you?
Sheila: Hiya yeah, er have you got any unsalted butter please?
Kathryn: I'm sorry we're out of unsalted butter but erm we do have salted butter and it's it's very it tastes very nice actually, I do recommend it, I like salted butter myself, especially on fish and chips.
Sheila: Yeah but it's just that well I'm being careful with my diet and I know that you know too much salt isn't very good for you really erm on your food but especially in butter so I was hoping that you know that you'd have some in. Will you be getting any? Do you normally have any?
Kathryn: Erm, not until next week I'm afraid, the delivery isn't until then but er why not buy the salted butter and just use a smaller portion of it?
Sheila: Yeah, okay then I could do. Yep, all right then.
Kathryn: Okay then, it's over there on the shelf.
Sheila: Right okay erm and I also wanted some black er black peppercorns as well please.
Kathryn: Ah ha. Would you like er powder or the peppercorns themselves?
Sheila: Yeah the proper peppercorns because I've got a peppermill and I want to put them in and do the grinding myself.
Kathryn: Yep okay, you'll find those down corridor G on the top shelf.
Sheila: Okay right er I've also got on my list 2 packets of spicy noodles.
Kathryn: Ah ha, yeah we do have spicy noodles in, erm would you like them in a pot or do you want a packet of spicy noodles?
Sheila: Oh a packet please cos erm yeah I've got a friend coming for a meal tonight so I want to do it properly you know.
Kathryn: Oh that'll be nice, yes, mind you erm perhaps not too many noodles er you were saying you were watching your weight I think you told me?
Sheila: Yeah, oh well I am but yeah
Kathryn: But still it's a nice meal with a friend.
Sheila: Yeah, yeah, special occasion.
Kathryn: Yeah, yeah, we do . I'm pleased we have those in for you.
Sheila: Yeah, yeah and er, sorry where did you say they were?
Kathryn: Er you'll find those near the peppercorns on the second shelf down.
Sheila: Okay, lovely. Right, and I also need erm some wholemeal bread as well.
Kathryn: Ah now I'm afraid you're shopping just that wee bit late and we've sold the last loaf.
Sheila: Oh no.
Kathryn: What a shame mm we have some white bread left which is very fresh and tasty. It was just delivered this afternoon actually.
Sheila: Yes, no no
Kathryn: Do you fancy that for a change?
Sheila: No I don't think I will actually, no, I go back and toast what I've got
Kathryn: I've got a small white loaf
Sheila: No , No It was really the wholemeal I was after.
Kathryn: Ok sorry I can't help you.
Sheila: It's okay, it's alright I'll last till tomorrow.
Kathryn: Anything else?
Sheila: Erm, and the last thing is erm I'd like some em low fat milk please.
Kathryn: Ah ha em yea we do have low fat milk erm but it's quite expensive I'm afraid. It's more expensive than the full fat milk but.
Sheila: Really ? Why is that?
Kathryn: Yes, because the supplier has started charging more so obviously .
Sheila: No
Kathryn: . we have to pass on that extra expense .
Sheila: oh no
Kathryn: . to the customer, I'm afraid.
Sheila: that's terrible.
Kathryn: Erm, but, but, still, if the low fat is going to be good and healthy for you
Sheila: Yes
Kathryn: it's worth it, isn't it?
Sheila: Yes, well, I'm on a diet actually, ya see .
Kathryn: Right.
Sheila: And I really wanted the low fat milk.
Kathryn: Yes.
Sheila: But you have to watch costs these days don't you?
Kathryn: Yes you do.
Sheila: Credit crunch and everything.
Kathryn: Maybe you could do what I've been doing recently and that is not buy quite as much; so instead of the 4 litre you could buy the 2 litre one.
Sheila: Yeah.
Kathryn: And use less.
Sheila: It's tricky though to cut down on something as basic as milk isn't it? Ya know.
Kathryn: Right.
Sheila: Anyway, okay, I'll take the low fat then.
Kathryn: Right, thank you. So we've got salted butter, black pepper, erm, instant noodles, I'm afraid .
Sheila: Not having the wholemeal, yes.
Kathryn: And some low fat milk. Did you want 4 litres or 2?
Sheila: Erm, just 2 will be fine thanks.
Kathryn: Fine, thank you very much.
Sheila: Okay, thank you.
