Mary: What do you think a good citizen is, or a good citizen does?
Carole: Oohh, very open question that one. A good citizen, probably I think going back to what we were saying earlier, and I'm looking at ... for my role, looking at students who are moving away from home and setting up life themselves for the first time. I think that taking away from what I see there will be very similar I think to anybody who's setting up a new life in England.
And so again we're looking at respecting other people, we're looking at respecting property. Taking responsibility for your own actions and communicating with people, talking to people, getting on with your neighbours and your friends. Making friends amongst the neighbours and amongst the community, and that might be just stepping out the door and say hello to somebody just walking passed you know, opening the door for ... the shop door to let somebody through, you know. It's more small things that make people think 'yes, that's a nice person', and that's what it's about.
