ESOL Progression at Leeds City College

At Leeds City College ESOL students have the opportunity to develop skills and vocational expertise in addition to English language:

• Progression events for ESOL students to help them choose their next course
• Students preparing for and being helped to find work
• Students in voluntary work and work experience
• Learning support assistants in ESOL class are ex-ESOL students
• Citizenship and Employability in lessons
• Students progressing to Access courses
• Most ESOL students progressing to a higher level and some into university and self-employment

Students in our libraries get expert advice to help them join classes and progress to other courses. At the Enfield Centre there is also a dedicated ESOL library and open access area with over fifty computers.
