Pat: There's "A Place in the country" and "Countdown"
Sheila: Boring!
Pat: I quite like "A Place in the Country". But you're right. You've got a point. I mean, it's nice and sunny outside and we do watch a lot of TV, so we could actually go out and enjoy the summer weather instead.
Sheila: Okay. Let's go somewhere tomorrow. I'll just check the weather forecast.
Pat: Good idea. It can be very changeable.
Sheila: Here we are. Oh, oh.
Pat: What's the matter?
Sheila: It says it's going to be cloudy with scattered showers in the morning, some heavy in the north. Becoming drier later. High 22oC.
Pat: Okay. That's a shame. But we could always go out later, say in the afternoon. I mean we never get up early anyway.
Sheila: Okay, so where do you suggest we should go?
Pat: Oh, I know. Let's go to Roundhay Park and have a picnic.
Sheila: I'm not sure about that. If the weather forecast is right, then we'll be just sitting about in the rain and even if it's stopped raining, the grass would be wet.
Pat: You're probably right. How about going to Temple Newsam instead?
Sheila: Maybe not. We'd still have the same problem with the weather.
Pat: You're right. But at least at Temple Newsam,if it is raining, we could go round the house.
Sheila: I don't really want to do that. I've been to Temple Newsam house loads of times already. As well as that, you have to pay to get into Temple Newsam house and I'm broke. Why don't we just go round the city centre?
Pat: I thought you just said you were broke.
Sheila: I am, but we don't have to spend any money. We could just go window shopping and if that got boring what about going round the art gallery? I haven't been there for ages and it's free.
Pat: That's a good idea. I've never been to the art gallery.
Sheila: Okay, let's see. So shall we meet in town at 9 o'clock?
Pat: Yeah, but can you make it later, say ten thirty?
Sheila: Okay, right. So we'll meet at ten thirty. Where shall we meet? How about meeting at the town hall?
Pat: I'm not sure where it is. I've never been there before. Could you meet us somewhere else?
Sheila: It's really easy to find. Hang on! I'm sure I've got a map of Leeds city centre in my bag. So, let's see. If I highlight from the bus station, because that's where your bus goes to, to the Town hall. You should be able to follow that. You'll have no problem.
Pat: That's quite straightforward. Okay, great. So, we'll meet at ten thirty.
Sheila: Okay sorted.
Pat: Oh, look. "A Place in the country" is starting.
